'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' Character Posters Scattered Across the Web Like Stars in the Cosmos

Marvel’s breakout hit Guardians of the Galaxy is all about teamwork, and putting aside a group’s differences in order to achieve something great. It would appear that the cast has taken this same philosophy to heart when promoting the film, as the latest push for viral buzz has embodied the one-for-all, all-for-one camaraderie that made the original film such a likable presence at cineplexes. Much like the assorted aliens converging from far-flung planets to battle the force of evil, the assorted stars of the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 have converged from far-flung social media platforms to battle the forces of underexposure.Continue reading…

See the Souped-Up New Batmobile for 'Justice League'

A new Batman vehicle demands, in a more literal sense, a new Batman vehicle. As Ben Affleck prepares to don the cape and cowl once more to reprise the role of Bruce Wayne in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Justice League movie, modifications have also been made to his singular whip, the teched-out Batmobile. Snyder applied his bigger-is-better filmmaking ethic to the Batmobile in last year‘s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, diverging from Christopher Nolan’s utilitarian, industrial look towards something a little more tanklike. And today, Snyder’s taken to his favored social media channel of Vero to offer fans an advance look at what the latest edition of the Batmobile has to offer.Continue reading…

'Deadpool' Comic Creator Has His Glowing Eye on Russell Crowe for 'Deadpool 2'

Casting rumors come in two major flavors. On the one hand, you have concrete news about actors meeting with executives and filmmakers to discuss their participation in upcoming productions. On the other hand, you have the echo chamber of social media, where casting rumors can materialize out of thin air and then be given credibility during an interview or social media exchange with an actor. Not all fan rumors end up at the first stage, but it is true that some social media rumors have actually ended up with the actor being offered the role.Continue reading…

DC Splits 'Shazam!' Into Two Films to Accommodate Dwayne Johnson's Awesomeness

If you smell what The Rock’s been cookin’ (i.e. if you follow him) on social media, then you know that the charismatic and insanely busy actor recently had a very good meeting over at DC about the long-awaited Shazam movie. (No, not like that make-believe ’90s movie.) Apparently, that meeting went so well that the studio has reportedly split the film into two projects — or, more likely, they realized the error in thinking they could just cast Dwayne Johnson as a super-villain in someone else’s movie.Continue reading…

'Suicide Squad' Concept Art Proves That Jared Leto's Joker Could've Been Way Worse

Jared Leto’s gritty ’n grilled take on the Clown Prince of Crime was easily the most controversial part of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. Early photos of Leto’s tatted-up Joker drew heavy criticism from fans and launched a million jokes on social media, where he was compared to everything from a Juggalo to a Hot Topic mascot — and that was before we found out about his wacky on-set “method acting” antics, which permanently cemented his status as a ridiculous human being. But if you thought that version of the Joker was obnoxious, boy do we have some concept art for you. Continue reading…

This New 'Logan' Photo Hints at a Mysterious Medical Experiment

Future advertising executives of the world, take notice: the official Instagram account for 20th Century Fox’s upcoming Logan is how you build up to the release of a movie. Last month, after a handful of set photos from Thor: Ragnarok made their way onto social media, fans stumbled across a possible little easter egg for the new movie. Thor was seen holding a business card with the street address for Doctor Strange, suggesting that somewhere along the way, Thor would be in need of a magical consultation.
